Several of the bricks between the window and the door of this home were cracked and the mortar joints were deteriorated. This was allowing moisture to seep into the other surrounding bricks and mortar joints and potentially damaging the integrity of the wall. Allowing this damage to persist can make for a very costly repair in the long run. It is best to fix this problem right away to prevent further damage.
Our masonry crew ground out the deteriorated mortar joints surrounding the damaged brick. Once they were ground out they removed the old damaged bricks. They installed new bricks to closely match the old bricks and then installed mortar in between the bricks. They smoothed out the joints to closely match the rest of the home.
