Challenge
This Bone Dry Roofing customer had other companies come out and try to fix their leaking skylight. The problem went away for short time periods but since the other companies were only applying caulking, the leak returned after several months. After the customers spent several hundred dollars for temporary fixes with other roofing companies, Bone Dry Roofing diagnosed the problem and corrected it properly.
Solution
Bone Dry roofing removed all of the material around the the Skylight to the deck, installed new ice and water guard around the skylight and a new flashing kit. We then installed new shingles and serviced the rest of the roof.

This photo shows the old material removed around the skylight decking. If you look towards the top left corner (area where the flat bar is) you can see water staining on the roof deck, this is where the leaking was coming in at…No amount of caulk on the skylight would have helped.

This photo shows the ice and water membrane Bone Dry roofing installed, this rubberized underlayment will help prevent water from coming through and when we nail through it, it self seals!

The Finished Repair! We match shingles as close as possible to the older roof and now its complete and water tight again!
