Chimney Tear Down Indianapolis, IN

Bone Dry Masonry found chimney to have failing mortar in between the bricks that covered over 90% of the chimney. The top of chimney is not keeping water out and the appliances venting through need to have liners installed to funnel the exhaust all the way outside instead of into the chimney stack. This all compounded to cause major problems to the masonry.

Bone Dry Masonry gave a full inpsection and recommended removing the brick chimney down below the roof deck, istalling plywood, ice & water shield, and shingles to match the original as close as possible. Our estimate also recommend installing an appliance liner w/ stack pipe, storm collar & rain cap, along with combining the furnace & water heater vents in basement into one hole & filling in remaining hole. This will resolve the customer’s issues and reduce their liablity of leaks and damage in the future.
