A Carmel resident contacted Bone Dry Masonry due to some crumbling bricks. Bone Dry Masonry’s specialists went out to provide homeowner with a thorough inspection of their chimney. While inspecting the chimney, he noticed that not only were the bricks crumbling, but the mortar was failing bricks. We also noticed that there were some bricks on the lower part of the chimney that had started to crack.

We suggested a chimney rebuild in our estimate. In rebuilding the chimney we will demo a total of 345 bricks, and construct a step out corbel using the “craft campfire”. We will also be wrapping the flue tile with ice and water shield for added protection. Next we will pour a new concrete crown with drip edge, and install 1 new stainless steel rain cap. This provides the homeowner the look that she wanted and the protection they need!
