Challenge
Once the sun hit the sky after a snowstorm a day earlier, the snow atop the roof began to melt. This melt also caused a stain in our homeowner’s dining room to appear. Having never experienced a leak in her new home, she gave us a call to find out what may have caused the discoloration and give an estimate to have the repairs done.
Solution
Ice damming & slow melt in certain roof areas can allow water more time to sneak in to the crevices of a home. This tight valley was in shadow, causing it to melt at a much slower pace than the remainder of the roof. We needed to help this stately family get their home fixed in time for holiday gatherings!
