Types of Roofing Case Studies: The Issue With Loose Seams On Flat Roof In Indianapolis Indiana

Friday, July 28th, 2017 by Hailey Ziegert

Flat roofs are an entirely different animal in a sense, and here at Bone Dry Roofing, we absolutely recognize that. That is why our crews are also trained in commercial roofing and the different types of "flat roofs". Our flat roof specialists made it out to this roof to conduct an inspection and plan the best and most reliable way to ensure that there would be no issues with water making its way to the underlying layers.

Upon arrival our flat roof specialists noticed that this particular type of flat roof is installed with a product called Modify. Modify is a very reliable type of flat roof, so long as it is sealed correctly. Unfortunately, in this case, our specialists noticed that there were a number of "seams" that were not sealed at all and thus made the rest of the roof extremely susceptible to moisture damage. Our crews went back with the best special materials to seal all of these "loose seams" to prevent any of these issues from happening. They were able to seal up all of the seams with "Roof Cement" which will be able to stand up to the normal wear and tear that all roofs take without there being a concern for one of those seams to open up. Great job guys!
